Saudi Arabian Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz died in a tragic military plane crash while on a training mission in Eastern Province on Thursday, December 7, 2023.


Prince Talal is not only a member of the Saudi royal family, but is also a lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Arabian Air Force. His death during a training mission added a grim note to his family's history in the kingdom. Prince Talal's father, Abdulaziz bin Bandar Al Saud, is a prominent figure in the kingdom.


Reporting from BNN News, Friday, December 8 2023, as a member of the royal family and businessman, Abdulaziz served as assistant head of intelligence from 2004 to 2012.


His career in intelligence was marked by important roles, including being appointed assistant head of intelligence in 2004 and then deputy head of intelligence at the Saudi intelligence agency, in 2010. Abdulaziz is also known to have worked closely with Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, who at that time served as head that body. His tenure at the intelligence agency ended in October 2012 when Youssef bin Ali Al Idrissi replaced him.


The family's contribution to the country is not just public service. Abdulaziz bin Bandar has been involved in various business activities, demonstrating the family's expertise in government and trade.


In his personal life, Abdulaziz bin Bandar is married to Najla bint Saad bin Mohammed Al Saud. Their son, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, married Sarah bint Fahd on May 26 2011.
